See the bungalow →All four bungalows sit at the north end of Sugar Beach, about three miles of sand running from the old Kihei wharf to Ma’alaea, with Kihei’s breakfast spots about ten minutes south and the whole island’s itineraries fanning out from your parking spot. Every closet carries the beach gear so your suitcase does not have to.
Three of them, Best Ocean Views, the Family Favorite and the Modern Ocean View, are two-bedroom condos at Kihei Holiday, across the street from Sugar Beach. The Couples Getaway is a studio at Kihei Bay Surf, a little south on the same road and a short walk from the humpback whale sanctuary’s visitor center.
Sugar Beach is the morning walk; for lifeguarded swimming, the Kamaole beach parks are about ten minutes away, and our Kihei beach guide lists the rest from north to south. In winter, the channel in front of the bungalows is where the humpbacks come to calve; whale watching from Kihei covers the season, the shore spots and the boats.
